Midway Elementary honors all teachers for their passion for teaching children. This year, the staff elected Sierra Daniels, a second-grade teacher, as the Teacher of the Year.
Mrs.Daniels is a 2nd grade ELA and Science teacher and has been teaching for 6 years, 3 of those years in Pierce County. Making learning fun and engaging, especially this past year with Covid-19, is her main goal. She aspires to be the teacher that made reading an adventure and all of her students feel loved.
Sierra received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education General Curriculum/ Early Childhood from the College of Coastal Georgia. She then went on to complete her Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Northcentral University. She is married to Joey Daniels and has one son, John Daniels. They live in Patterson, Georgia.
